Forney

has maintained its position as a leader in power plant and large industrial systems for more than 80 years by designing, manufacturing, installing and servicing the most innovative lines of combustion and environmental equipment.
Forney now offers environmental analyzers and instruments to enhance our traditional Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems (CEMS). Forney’s full line of combustion products continues to include igniters, flame detectors, Burner Management Systems (BMS), burners and duct burners.

Environmental Systems

cemplicity

Forney's CEMplicity measures up to four (4) gases, simultaneously, within a single climate controlled cabinet. The CEMplicity® system can be installed on the plant floor or platform, thus reducing sample line length and response time.

Vigilant

The Vigilant CEMS is a NEMA 1 or 12 single rack mounted platform and requires a climate controlled environment. It is designed for measurement of all compliance gases simultaneously.

Custom Shelter Sytem

Forney's CEMplicity measures up to four (4) gases, simultaneously, within a single climate controlled cabinet. The CEMplicity® system can be installed on the plant floor or platform, thus reducing sample line length and response time.

CPDS

Forney offers a custom designed shelter system to meet your complex monitoring requirements. Forney has designed shleters with up to eight CEMS systems in one shelter.

igniters

DUra fire oil igniter

The Forney DURAFire® is the only oil igniter on the market to incorporate a highly stable and reliable “protected primary combustion zone”. Capacities range from 5 to 35 mmBtu/hr for use in wall burners.

Max Fire GAS Ingniter

The Forney MAXFire® gas igniter provides stable and reliable operation in a size and capacity range from 2" OD, 1 mmBtu/hr to 5" OD 35 mmBtu/hr for use in wall burners.

Flexible single tube igniter

The FST oil or gas igniter is designed for use in tilting tangential burners as a Class I igniter and warm-up gun.

Q87 igniter

The oil or gas fired Q87 is the most versatile igniter on the market. Used in wall fired burners this igniter can fire natural gas or oil that is air, steam or mechanically atomized.

Horn Igniter

As an upgraded replacement for OEM equipment the Forney Horn igniter offers optical flame detection and high energy spark ignition for both oil and natural gas firing. Retrofit is made easy by matching the bolt pattern to the existing windbox opening.

HESI

The HESI Series 90 is a Class 3 igniter used for direct spark ignition of oil or gas igniters, small burners or combustion turbines. When used in conjunction with Forney igniters, a nine out of ten starting reliability can be guaranteed.

Flame Detectors

IDD Detector series

The Forney IDD Detector Series features a separate infrared (IDD) or ultraviolet (UV-4) detector head which connects to a remote amplifier with advanced signal processing capabilities.

uni flame detectors

The UniFlame detector is a self contained (sensor and amplifier all in one package) unit with UV and/or IR capabilities. Because of the ability to ration the UV and IR signal this detector is the most highly tunable.

Digital profile detector

The DPD is a self contained detector that features self tuning capabilities. It is available in both a solid state IR or UV sensor configuration.

Duct Burners

advantage duct burner

Best duct burner for low oxygen / high water applications when supplemental firing Turbine Exhaust Gas (TEG) or where low emissions are needed.

Standard duct burner

High configuration capability. This design has a wide variety of uses and is well-suited for Fresh Air Firing, Process Heating, SCR Reheating and Ammonia/Urea vaporization.

SCR Reheating

Multiple burner options to support the unique heating requirements in the low oxygen flue environment of large coal, gas and oil fired conventional power plants.

BEDB

Used for smaller combustion turbines and fresh air-firing found in cogeneration and waste heat recovery applications.

ADVantage oil

Proven side-fired oil burners for applications with supplemental firing and improved emission performance.

DCS PLATFORM

Forney will design and engineer the BMS logic's for implementation into the DCS hardware. The physical programming of the BMS can occur at Forney or the DCS suppliers location.

PLC Platform

Forney will design and engineer the BMS logic's for implementation into the PLC hardware. The physical programming of the BMS is done at the Forney facility as well as the Factory Acceptance Test.
